Odysseus returns to the Island of Aiaia to bury Elpenor. Kirke tells Odysseus about the obstacles he will face and how to forefend them. Odysseus goes gumption to his mailmates and informs them of what Kirke instructed. After they pass the Seirenes island, Odysseus and his men must navigate by Skylla, the six itemed monster, which take aways one man for any head from every ship. They also navigate through Kharybdis, a swirl that threatens to swallow the ship. Skylla swallows six of his men. Odysseus and the rest of his men then discern to Thrinacia, the island of Helios. He deprivations to avoid it but is persuaded by Eurylochus to let his shipmates rest. A drive leaves them stranded there for a month and the bunch has to plump on food from the ship.
When food supplies run low, Eurylochus persuades the ring to go against Odysseus and eat the cattle of the sun. When lord Helios finds out, he asks genus Zeus to retaliate them. As they sail off, Zeus strikes up a storm, which destroys the ship and its crew.
